Georgia Unclaimed Property Locators was formed to assist with reuniting individuals and businesses with unclaimed property being held by the state of Georgia. 

Georgia Unclaimed Property Locators are experts in recovering unclaimed money.  We specialize in recovering assets for people that otherwise would not have known about it.

State unclaimed money includes funds that have been turned over to their respective states Treasury Departments’ after they have been considered abandoned by their respective owners.

A state receives unclaimed assets only after the company holding them can consider them “abandoned”. Money is usually considered abandoned three to five years after the company has lost contact with the owner, and three months after the company makes a final effort to reach the owner at their last known address.  If the company does not have a last known address for the owner, then the assets go to the state in which it was incorporated.

Our services include first locating and then contacting the rightful owner (claimant) of assets being held by the state of Georgia; assisting the claimant in the filing of the proper forms; making arrangements with the state to have a check made out in the claimant’s name delivered directly to the claimant; and ongoing representation with the state as needed on the claimant’s behalf. It bears repeating that funds we recover will be in the form of a check made payable to the claimant and NOT to Georgia Unclaimed Property Locators.
